The first Celebration was held on 6 October 2012 with the Elim Wine Growers's wines, fresh
local produce, mountain bike races (70 km, 30 km and 10 km), a trail run and walk (10
km), buffalo tours, donkey rides, fly-ins and airshow, marimba band and much more! A day

The Elim Food & Wine Celebration
This fun-filled festival, in true Strandveld style, is held anually in December. Come and
experience the hospitality of the area, whilst listening to the Baardskeerderbos Orkes, and
enjoying a cheese platter and a cold glass of the Black Oystercatcher Sauvignon Blanc.

"Baie geluk aan julle span wat die naweek se aktiwiteite gereël het. Daar was werklik iets vir almal. Ek het die bergfiets rit baie geniet en dit was n besonderse mooi roete. Dit was seker die mooiste roete wat ek nog hierdie jaar getrap het en dit sluit in die Stellenbosch uitdaag, Argus bergfiets uitdaag, Staalwater (Caledon) Canola (Swellendam) Potberg, Gansbaai en die Karroo2Coast. Ek hoop die geleentheid sal net groei , want dit is ook belangrik vir ons hele streek. Nogmaals baie dankie aan almal wat bygedra het tot die dag."
