The Black Oystercatcher wedding venue will host an exclusive and unforgettable wedding ceremony and reception amongst the southern-most vineyards on the African continent. Alternatively, the historic church in the middle of the picturesque missionary town of Elim, just down the road from the venue, could host the wedding service. Have your wedding photos taken in the culturally-rich Elim, among the Black Oystercatcher's vineyards, or at the Black Oystercatcher's stone houses that date back to the 1700s. Or travel 5km down the road to have your wedding pictures taken at a pristine and untouched lake called Waagschaalvlei.

Then after the wedding ceremony, relax and enjoy your reception at the Black Oystercatcher venue. Our friendly staff will assist in your planning, to ensure your wedding day is exactly what you dreamed of. And they will take care of all the proceedings at the ceremony. We give special attention to detail and no aspect is overlooked. The wedding venue has a dance floor and the décor can be arranged to suit your needs. Accommodation is available on neighbouring farms, or in the nearby towns of Elim, Bredasdorp, Struisbaai, Agulhas and Gansbaai. You need only enjoy the most important day of your life without concern.

This Bredasdorp venue has a heart warming character, charm and offers a comfortable atmosphere for any event. There are many possibilities to colour your event with imagination and style. Flowers, lights, candles etc. are all extras to make for a charming and beautiful event. We will be more than happy to assist you in any of the décor planning; the fee will be quoted accordingly.

Why not host a nice family dinner here the evening before? We will take care of all the details so that you can just relax and enjoy the time leading up to your special day. We can work out a special set menu for you or you are welcome to order from the a la carte menu. Getting married in the morning? The Black Oystercatcher Restaurant will open for dinner for a minimum booking of 15 people.
